Privacy Policy

When you create an account and use Sociai, we store, in our database hosted by Supabase:

• Account: your email address, a securely hashed password (managed by Supabase Auth), your credit balance and credit history, and the IP address seen on your first visit (used only to limit how many accounts are created from one network).
• Profile: your main goal, the “about you” text, default format, and writing samples you add.
• Resume: the file you upload (PDF or Word) in private storage, and the text extracted from it.
• Projects: each outreach you start: who it is for, your goal, the research results, your corrections and every draft.
• Payments: if you buy credits, a Stripe customer id and your purchase history. Card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and never reach us.

Supabase stores this data in [REGION, e.g. the United States]. Only you can read or change your own profile, samples, resume and projects; this is enforced by the database itself.

To research a person and write a draft, Sociai sends a request to Anthropic’s Claude API. That request contains the name or link you entered, your goal, your “about you” text, your writing samples, your corrections and, for drafts, an excerpt of your resume text. Claude searches the public web and reads public pages to research the person.

Anthropic processes this data to provide the service under its commercial terms and, under those terms, does not use it to train its models. [Confirm against Anthropic’s current commercial terms and data retention policy, and link them here.]

• Sociai never sends messages for you. It drafts; you decide whether to copy and send anything, from your own email or account.
• We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
• Error reports (if enabled) exclude what you write: no resume text, writing samples, request contents or keys.

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Anthropic: the Claude API for research and drafting.
• Stripe: payments.
• Render: hosting.
• [Sentry: error monitoring, if you turn it on. Your email provider for sign-up and reset emails, e.g. Resend.]

Open Your profile (the round account button, then “Your profile”) and choose Delete my account and data. This permanently deletes your profile, writing samples, resume file and text, projects and credit history, and signs you out. To prevent repeat free credits, we keep only a one-way hash of your email address.

Records Stripe must keep for tax and accounting stay with Stripe. You can also ask us to delete your data, or for a copy of it, at [email protected].
